Beatles allow Wu Tang Clan to use sample

For the first time ever, The Beatles have allowed a sample of one of their songs to be used. As for who the lucky musicians are that were granted the honor, well that’s the hip hop group Wu Tang Clan. Wu Tang plan to use a portion of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” in a cover of the song. Helping out the group with their rendition is George Harrison’s son, Dhani. 8 Diagrams, the Wu Tang album with the song, was due to come out on November 13th, but, due to the delays in getting permission from the Beatles, the record will now be out on December 4th.
