Former Eagle releases controversial memoir
|
|
Former Eagle Don Felder recently wrote a memoir that was packed with juicy sex and drug filled stories, but his ex-bandmates’ objections got the publisher to drop the project. However, Felder has found a new publisher in England and soon his book, Heaven and Hell: My Life as an Eagle, will hit shelves overseas, much to the chagrin of Don Henley and Glenn Frey. According to the New York Post, the current Eagles were able to stop publication in the States with drawn-out lawsuits over a nondisclosure agreement Felder signed as part of his settlement after being fired from the group in 2001. Apparently, Felder breaks the agreement within the first few pages of his memoir when he describes things like “white powder rings around my nostrils.” In the book, he also discusses encounters with women and what he calls an unjust split of profits among the band members. The Eagles are hitting the road in a few weeks, just before the book is set to come out in England next month. |
