These days, celebrities seem to be spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on lavish weddings. However, one person that didn’t do that is Lou Reed. News came out a week ago that the rocker had married and now, his wife, Laurie Anderson, is revealing details about the laidback ceremony. Anderson told the BBC that the two spent ten dollars on their wedding, the cost of the marriage license. The couple got hitched in Colorado last month after Laurie was talking to Lou about getting married and he asked if she’d want to do it the next day. Anderson explained, “We walked into the Boulder Mountain marriage license office and they said, ‘Are you two related?’ and we said, ‘Not that we know of’ and we paid ten bucks and that’s it, we’re married.” Laurie and Lou have been together since 1995.
