My sister & I used to sing along, and do the dance moves, and now I've been designing and making performance costumes for more than 3 decades - inspired by those sexy Revolutionary Raider "togs"! Dear Mark, I will never forget February 1972. I walked into the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas and went into the lounge to see this group called The Raiders. Wow.. what a change in my life. I fell in Love with this gorgeous idol in white tight pants & shirt and I could never forget the duck tape. My niece is 14 now, her birth mother grew up standing and holding on to the coffee table while dancing to Mark Lindsay, she could hardly even walk, but she sure danced away. I still talk about Mark Lindsay and everyone in my family knows who he is. I have so many Special Memories. Just the other day I was with my sister and 14 year old niece. I mention something about duck tape and Mark Lindsay. My niece ask what's duck tape? I said it's the tape Mark Lindsay use to use to hold up his pants, she said I thought that was called Mark Lindsay tape, I said that's what I have always called it. She was serious. My sister and I thought it was so cute. Mark you will always have a Special place in my heart. I remember when I grabbed your microphone cord and started pulling you towards me, this was a few weeks later at the Flamingo, you said Holy Moley and you've been seeing to many Elvis shows. I hope things are good with you. I have a photo album of The Raiders, mostly Mark Lindsay and it has to be at least 5 inches deep. Something that is priceless to me. I will definitely tune in tonight. I was born in 1957 so the Raiders were one of the first bands I liked. Everyone else was raving about the Beatles and other British bands but you guys were differrent and stood out and the music was great! Very glad you are back! Never did get to show up at the Rock & Roll Cafe for a good meal and a good evening. Always thought The RAIDERS were FANTASTIC! Gid get to see you all live at the "NAT" in Walla Walla, WA back in the 60's and you guys; and THE VENTURES; were a strong inspiration to me to teach myself to play electric guitar and was a member of a four piece rock band while in high school in '65 and '66. Great days, great memories!!

My computer's been down, seems like forever, and I just heard about the cafe and khts. I hope that the other listings are correct and that you're back!!! If the good Lord blessed me with a million dollars, I swear you'd be the receiptent...to make sure no problems could ever interupt your dreams again. See ya Saturday!!!

I am glad that you are back on the air. If I ever have the opportunity to visit Portland I would like to visit the Rock N Roll Cafe. I would also like to take a stroll past Mill End Park which I understand is the worlds smallest park. These would be in addition to the usual things on my itinerary when I visit a city. I would look for the Tri-Met office and pick up a set of all the schedules and route maps for my collection. Glad you are back and I hope that the restaurant is up and running again soon.

I can remember watching the Raiders on Bandstand, WTAI, and oh yea; didn't you fellas have your own 30 minute show at one time. Who could ever forget those many covers of 16 Magazine and Tiger Beat. Did the rest of the Raiders drink from your fountain of youth, Mark? Do you suppose you could maybe send the Oakland Raiders a few suggestions to help them out?
