Monday morning Dave and I had the opportunity to interview Raleigh Hills resident Amy Patterson. She won the Avon Hello Tomorrow Award for her idea to bring drop in child care to doctor and hospital waiting rooms.

As an advocate for anyone who takes the time to better their communities, it was truly a pleasure to meet Amy and hear her story.
Keep the great stories coming in. If you have made a difference in our community... or know someone who has... email me! I want to know about this!
Something important Amy shared with me. She said, “Receiving this award has reminded me that even during difficult times, it can change for the better. If I could send a message to other women going through breast cancer treatment right now, it's to know that they are not alone, and that there is life after treatment. And that there is always room for hope even in the face of uncertainty.”
