Saturday night Dave and I were guests at MARK LINDSAY’s Rock and Roll Café...and what a time we had.
First of all, I was in the presence of a music legend. What a pleasure to meet Mark...wow... the guy has got some Rock and Roll history! He was on Ed Sullivan for goodness sakes!
As great as it was to meet and connect with some listeners...we also ate some of the best food! I had the “Rock Lobster” and it was cooked to perfection. Thank you to Mark and Deb for having us.
While we were there we met a special family. Nurry Scott was there celebrating her birthday with her daughters and friends. But there was someone very special missing… her husband of 33 years.
Master Sergeant Clarence Scott is serving in Iraq and he is a loyal online listener! Click here to listen to Nurry send a special message to her husband.
I have such respect for the men and women who choose to support their country by being a part of our military. Regardless of political views or agendas, these troops are human beings...part of our community...our brothers and sisters.
Veterans- I thank you for your service. This world would not be what it is without you.
To our enlisted troops… I pray that you are kept healthy and safe.
Let’s not forget the family of our service men and women. They make sacrifices as well, as they experienced by missed birthdays and holidays. Wives, husbands, children- all missing their loved ones daily.
Thank you Nurry and Clarence for sharing your story with us... |
