Van Morrison to open South by Southwest Festival

As if there weren’t enough music legends taking part in this year’s South by SouthWest festival in Austin, Texas, another one just joined the line-up. Van Morrison will kick off the event on March 12th with a performance at the club La Zona Rosa. Gigwise.com reports the show is in support of Van’s new album, Keep It Simple, which boasts the singer’s first new material in two years. While the release date for the record was just pushed back to April 1st, Morrison will be promoting the disc with concerts in Nashville on March 13th, Boston on the 14th and New York on the 15th |
