FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Set up/Load in:
Set-up/load-in will begin on Friday May 9th from 3pm and run until 8pm.  While you are guaranteed space at the Yard Sale, exact locations on the grounds will not be assigned until your arrival.  Spaces are pre-determined based on items being sold and  need for power.  They are NOT decide on a first come first serve basis. Spaces are 10’x10’ and each include an 8’ table.  Please note that you will need to bring your own seating.  You may bring additional tables, display racks, partitions, etc., as long as all items stay within your designated space(s).  All load-in and set-up must be done by 8pm and all vehicles must move their cars to the adjacent parking lot after 8apm.  You WILL  NOT  be able to bring use your vehicle to load-in the day of the event.  You will only be allowed to bring in what you can carry in.

Gates will open to the public at 7am and  doors to the Venue will open at 8am-3pm May 10th.  Participates are allowed to enter the building (if wearing a wrist band) at 6:45am to finish setting up.  Note: Each paid booth space will receive 3 working wristbands to be distributed for those working a booth.

Day of the event:
Please be respectful to your customers and park in the further parking lot.  This will allow for the shoppers to park closer to the venue. The Yard Sale area is in the Main Exhibit Hall and will extend to the front lawn.  You’ll enter through a set of gates.  Stop there and check in with our CBS Radio representative.  NO vehicle is permitted on property to unload, the day of the event.  Event ends at 3pm you are required to take everything with you after 3pm;  At that time your Vehicle will be allowed on grounds to load up items left over.  You will be charged a pickup fee if anything is left behind. CBS Radio is not responsible for anything lost, stolen, damaged or left behind..

Is the event inside or outside?
All the vendor booths or tables are inside the main exhibit hall, there will be activities for kids and a Big Boy Zone located outside.

Since we are loading in day before the event and our things will be left over night, will there be onsite security?
The building will be locked there will also be on site security overnight.

How early can I get to my table on May 10th the day of the event?
All participants are allowed to enter the building at 6:45am  on May 10th.

How many people are allowed to work a table?
Each paid booth space will receive 3 working wristbands to be distributed for those working a booth.

Are the booths divided by partitions?
No, your 10x10 space is not divided by anything but tape on the floors….your are welcome to bring your own dividers and/or back drops as long as they fit in the 10x10 space and are NOT a tent with a canopy.

Am I allowed to tape or nail signs up to the wall of the complex?
NO! The Fairgrounds prohibits any taping or nailing anything to their walls.

Are we allowed to bring food and drink into the complex?
Although we will be selling food, vendors are allowed to bring their own food and drink for personal consumption.  You are prohibited to distribute food due to Washington County Fairgrounds and the Oregon Health department policies to the public.

Will there be a charge for this event?
Yes, there is a $5 charge for those 16 and over.  This is a fundraiser and proceeds got to the Shriners Hospital for Children Portland.

What if I don’t sell everything and I don’t want to take it back home?
You are required to remove everything from the premises immediately following the close of the event.  St. Vincent de Paul will be on site with a truck accepting donations of any unsold merchandise that you would like them to haul away.  Any thing left behind is subject to a clean-up charge.

I am coming from a long distance, can I park my motor home in the parking lot and stay over night?
There is limited  overnight motor home parking for a small fee from the Washington County Fairgrounds.  To make reservations for overnight parking please contact the Fairgrounds directly at 503-648-1416.
