Archer's return to the Portland airwaves on K-HITS 106.7 fits, as he puts it, "like a comfy old hiking shoe." 

In the '70s and '80s, Archer was heard on KOIN 97, Magic 107, Z-100 and Q-105.  Although his career took him to the far ends of America, his oldest friends live here and his favorite music artists — especially the Beatles — reside on K-HITS.

"It's a dream come to true to work with old friends like Brad Dolbeer and Mike Turner and new ones like Jeff Thomas and Tom Kent," says Archer.  And the best part is being able to play the most and the best music in the afternoon in Portland.

Along with traffic updates and the super hits of the '60s and '70s, Archer features a mini-Beatlefest, "The Fab Four at Four," and a fun flashback with "The '60s at 6."  He also hosts "The Beatles Basement" Sunday mornings from 10 to noon.

His personal interests include Greyhound adoption, hiking and, not surprisingly, "enjoying a good clean rainstorm."
